Two R based Shiny applications that showcase the situations of endangered species and geographical relationships of Finland
01
Endangered SpeciesFor the past 150 years, climate changes have restructured various habitats on Earth. In this project, we aim to 1) identify the number of endangered species by country and time and 2) explore the factors that potentially cause species to go extinct. Our goal was to create an interactive platform that allowed users to explore endangered species dynamics across time and in comparison to climate and environmental changes.
02
FinlandThis portfolio project aims to show the population situations as well as the working situations in Finland in order to provide a general picture of how urbanization relates to the population migration to the big cities. It contains three interactive graphs: one showing the geometric distribution of offices in Finland, one displaying the population growth over time in each city, and one showing the growth countrywide. We can conclude from the graph that the population in Finland has grown over the year, especially in big cities, where most of the people work and live.
